Happy Birthday to my favorite child for the day. Wyatt is always the first to say he loves me, eat something new, massage my back, foster any living creature, draw me a love note or acknowledge when something is not totally fair. There are many reasons I love this boy. The most important is that he has a big heart and shows it to me everyday. almost.

Today on the way to school I told stories about when he was born and anything else that could spark a laugh or just make him feel special. The funniest thing about Wy is that he was born with a deep voice. Even his first cry sounded more like a roar. He used to be very, very quiet. His favorite thing to do was organize the tupperware cabinets. He never wandered far from my side and it was a welcome reprieve from his older brother. Even as he has gotten older I have discovered even with all of his threats of running away, he will be the one that always stays by my side.

Wyatt got one birthday present early...Bella came over. I told her mom that if she comes down with a sore throat this week we will know that he got to first base with her.

This little girly has a fever and is so cuddly. Except she wont let me kiss her neck...my favorite spot. In the morning I steal a kiss. It still smells like a little baby. I love babies

I wonder how long I will let her get away with this.

I miss this little girl every time we are apart.
I would give her anything.
Even a cat.
She wants one...bad.
I actually don't mind cats as much as I used to. I've been told they only really like their owners. Which would make sense why I've never met a cat that seems friendly.

Everyone has been sick. Wyatt fever, hunt stomach and savanna wanted to join in on the fun. She said her throat, stomach, heart, knee and bones hurt.

I've been meaning to take Wyatt rock climbing. I cant wait for us to have something to do together. Hunter thought it would be too dangerous, so he is opting out. One of the local rock gyms have a competitive team that Wyatt can join. He is totally against baseball this season; he never has really enjoyed it. This kid can do anything physical. It will be awesome when we can climb an actual mountain. That's one good thing about AZ..lots of places to climb and awesome weather.

The weekend is already over? Technically Sundays don't count for me because everyone is trying to finish their homework and I always get the "sunday blues" around 4 o'clock. This weekend consisted of Frozen Yogurt everyday, judging dance auditions for Rattler's cheerleaders, Spongebob and not sleeping! I used to be really good at sleeping. Never had a problem falling and staying asleep. Now I am on a pattern of waking up around 2:30, eating a bowl of cereal and then back to bed until I wake up for good at 6:00. I haven't even had a nap in over a month~and I love naps! It sucks being tired.

Monday is Wyatt's birthday. He is excited to bring in birthday treats to his classmates, eat at his favorite restaurant Gecko Grill (one time we really did see a gecko roaming around the floor) and buying a new set of Star Wars legos. I am really leery about doing that. I was in the lego section and I thought 'why do I do this to myself?' Every time I get him one we get into a fight. Usually because I am not working fast enough. Then last night he found one he wanted. He was trying to convince me by saying "it only has 1,200 pieces". Oh dude, you have no idea how you just shot yourself in the foot.

Friday is his food fight party. Hunter's friends against Wyatt and his friends. I try not to plan too much with boy parties because they end up doing their own thing anyways. I figure I can't go wrong with plenty of food, grassy fields and water balloons.

Early release day...why do we have those?

Actually it wasnt that bad except the fact that someone is feeling better today and making up for lost time. He figured out how to stop a runny nose though. Wyatt does the cutest and the craziest things. While Hunt was on minute 8 of brushing his teeth, Wyatt got cozied up in my bed. Savanna was bugging him and he says,"I'm trying to relax before I have to go in my bed and maybe get kidnapped."

I did have a little laugh today when I informed the kids that they may have to get caught up on their immunizations. Every year I have to re-register them at school. And every year I have to fill out that long immunization record and photo copy it. Why do I have to write it in when I have a copy of it attached? I noticed a couple of spots I needed to fill in were blank. The look on the kids faces with the mention of shots was priceless. They probably won't have to get any but it was fun pretending.
I really, really, really want to do this race. I haven't been back to S.F. since I left in 2004. I have a lot of good memories there with friends and babies. So many places to shop, beaches, food and gorgeous houses. I can see why so many people live there; except for the fact that it is super expensive.
I think one of the best things about S.F., besides the city itself, is all the outlying towns. I didn't travel very far south because most of the beauty is north. I love each town and I swear I could settle in a nice little house and be totally content there.
The only problem I foresee about this trip is leaving Hunter behind. He has been wanting to go back for a long time. I am amazed at everything he remembers about living there. We went to Muir beach a lot and he remembers one of my friends getting stung by a bee and saying the F word. Another time my friends little boy was floating down the little stream that fed into the ocean and I jumped in and grabbed him. (It sounds way more dramatic than it actually was.) I would love to take him back; with a pair of ear plugs for myself. That kid can talk when he is excited!
Totally going to make this work; even if its by myself.

Savanna talks more to herself than anyone else. Yesterday she put all her stuffed animals in a line and then in a different line on the bed and then another line on the counter. It's totally thought out too. Once she placed a animal in line, stood back to look and then went and moved it. I remember when I was little doing the same thing. She's so easy and I GET HER.

Wyatt has cold/flu. After I picked him up from school he kept saying "i'm gonna die. I'm gonna die in this car." By the end of the night I wanted to die. He is so not fun to take care of. I gave him a tylenol p.m. at 4:30 and he didn't even crash until 8:00. Seriously?
He wants to be a army soldier; like as in WWII army soldier. He could outlast anyone as far as endurance, mind games and strength. Out of all the boys/boyfriends in my life he has been the trickiest for me to understand. Being 7 means he is pretty transparent. I know as he gets older he will have so many mind weapons against me I will probably just surrender.

starting a new blog.

I love keeping one just for the fact that my kids can have a record of all the cute and mean things they say to me.

Last night my sweet friend used the word hoopla. It reminds me of something a grandma would say.

I like it.

It was available for a blog address.

Nicole, I guess you deserve some credit.

As of now the only cute thing to put is that Wyatt was mad at me for making him sleep in his own bed. In a mad tone he asked 'when does he gets to go back to dad's house'. after getting out of bed 5 times i yelled some threats and he said, "geez i was just coming in to give you a kiss goodnight. but now i'm not. i can't believe you."
my response, "believe it. get in bed"

My sister took Savanna and I to Lolo's chicken and waffles. So good! I felt a little out of place but it was worth it. One of my favorite places now.

January was pretty much a blur but getting situated now.

Busy with on line school; which I love btw. The hardest part about college in the past was getting to class and then actually staying the whole time. I never felt shy to get up and leave early. All my classes are elementary education based; I'm so excited about my future! The boys are wanting me to work at their school and keep asking how much longer until you start teaching?

The weather is awesome! 70 degrees is my favorite. Still can wear jeans but with a t-shirt. Upcoming plans...
possibly going to d.c. to stay with my brothers kids while he and his wife go on a mini-vaca
San Diego marathon
spring break...gotta do something
Pat's run
finding a job
rock climbing with my boys
learn how to just "be"
